Advice For Disneyland, Ca Vacation (late Fall Or Early Spring)?

We are looking to book our first Disneyland vacation for either September or next January..which month would be best (like warm weather)? We prefer to avoid crowds of people and not wait in line for hours on end. Is there another time of the year that would be better than September or mid-January?
Where is best place to stay near Disneyland, CA (hotel) – we don’t mind walking (is it safe and close by?)..are the Disney hotels worth the price?
We were also looking at booking a package deal to also visit SeaWorld or Universal Hollywood, but was not sure on what to see, or, if it was too ‘mature’ for our 3 yr old. Any info and tips are GREATLY appreciated! This will be our first time to California, and are very VERY excited!!

  1. September or January are generally good crowd thing. The children have returned to school for the parks are not as busy. The disadvantage is that they often take the attractions in those days offline for refurbishment.
      September:
Small World is closed. Scheduled to open late November
Haunted Mansion will be closed from mid to late September to install holiday overlay.
Rumors of the closure of Indiana Jones.
      January:
Small World is generally close at the end of January to remove the holiday overlay.
Haunted Mansion will close mid-January to remove the holiday overlay.

  2. you should come in September and will have his or Disneyland in many shows and rides good the show is or has to do his show on the night of fireworks and is very good u should stay in a hotel somewhere near staing in a Disneyland hotel at Disneyland hope u have fun
yu should go to Sea World Universal Studios beccuz has many major attractions

  3. September. Its always busy at Disneyland no matter what time of year is. I suggest staying at Disney hotels, but nearby hotels are also good. Universal Studios is not as fun as Word Sea for a period of three years of age. I hope you have fun in Cali.

  4. I'd like to see Disney's website, or even go to a travel site like TripAdvisor. com. That might give more details of times and places to go and stay.

  5. Late autumn, because in the beginning of spring and a little cooler in the autumn usually still warm.

  6. Sunshine status on August 14th, 2009 at 2:35 am

early spring could fall into Cali.

  7. I went in October NO LINES AT ALL! The time is right

  8. early spring

  9. early spring

  10. late autumn then it will be cooler than 90 to go during the fall

  11. Bring twice the money and half of a large part of clothing. . . . . . .

  12. Ive been a million times and live next to Disneyland. I'd say go in September. . its not too Hott. . . its good. if you go in January. . is a little cold. I think any month will be busy. . . you deffinatly going to be in a line that no matter what u do. However, I learned that if you go on a Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday. slow. . . not go on a weekend or Friday. . . its crazy! Disneyland is very, very expensive for food, and even good in my opinion. . theres places to eat outside the right side of the park. . and there are tons of hotels / motels right outside the park. . . but Anahiem or less and pay for a room. . . unless the quality you get. depends on how high maintenance you are. . Ive been in the Disney hotels. . Convienent really. . . gorgous inside. . i would never be able to afford it myself, but if I could I would. theres also some good restaurants in downtown Disney. . which is just outside the park. . if you do not buy souvineers inside the park. . You will find there also. If you anytime of the year – its always sunny. bring sunscreen and hats youll fit all. but honestly if your smart you will be fine. if I go in September. . . however, in January you can see some holiday parades. . i bet u can find online when they are running. I hope help. I apologize for my bad grammar: p

  13. Jump in January and will take 3 years to Sea World. . . There are fun things to do, but what would be best if your child may be close enough to pet dolphins and Orca. . . Children also really enjoy all the penguins who were born there, and become a true "fishophile 'for years to come. If you do Sea World, you may want to see the San Diego Zoo. . . rent a car or take a tourist bus, but GO, have fun, and a maximum length of a light jacket, and if you can buy a rain poncho for rain at any of the parks for about $ 3. . . I've lived in both Los Angeles and San Diego and the weather is much better in January. . . September is when the Santa Ana winds, heat and fire can cause smog so bad you can not leave. As I said, however, to Disneyland, do SeaWord, and if you can, make the San Diego Zoo. . . test all the different agencies and online booking compare prices and offers. Disneyland has some truly great hotel packages and tickets to the parks, but can also reach San Diego and back in one day, so go, go, go. . . and a ball. It is a very fun trip, especially with one of 3 years in the trailer.

  14. September is likely to be crowded and very hot, but can be cloudy or rainy weather here in January. Any time at school is helpful. April, May or November would be best. Lots of hotels in Anaheim, near the park shuttles have (vacant) for the park. It is quite safe, and many are within walking distance. There is a Best Western and Holiday Inn 0. 3 miles away. Others are closer too. I think all the hotels near the park will be more expensive than usual. Disney hotels are great, but unless you get a good package on your site, I would not recommend it.
At 3 years old, would Sea World, Universal Studios, but no. It's really for older children and adults. Legoland she might like, but it is expensive – to buy tickets at a grocery store to save money. I hope this helps.
      Enjoy your trip!

  15. Mid-January might be a bit cold, but not really. I prefer mid-January! Much better, still hot pace in September Oh and we stayed at a super cheap pink / yellow hotel, very nice inside. so cheap and easy walking distance of the park. Disneyland has just soo much to do alone. I have lived in Cali for 20 years and still Havent been Universal Studios or SeaWorld. Disneyland has 3 sites in 1. it would go to 5 places! you can get tickets from Costco. com for adults and children from 5 places. Great prices. Then, use Priceline. com or Expedia. com for hotel information. or try Hotels. com Good Luck! Its soo fun! and 3 years old is great! Having many kiddy rides that are so fun. but she wont remember anything. lol but you take so many photos.
