Where To Go And What To Do In Washington D.C. The Capital Of The United States
Washington, DC, officially the District of Columbia and Washington known as The District or simply DC is the capital of the United States was founded on 16 July 1790. It is the home of the President of the United States of America and the city where all major decisions are taken about this great superpower. This is a truly historic city full of wonderful sights you should visit. The National Mall is a large park in the city center and located in its center is the Washington Monument. Also located on the mall is the memorial to Lincoln, who has appeared in films Mr. Smith Goes to Washington to Planet of the Apes. There are many historic places to visit that are recognized either television or movies, like watching the vote reflects the Korean War Veterans. The best part of Washington for me is a collection of museums that make up the Smithsonian. The U.S. government partially funds the Smithsonian collections and it is open to the public for free. The museums and galleries that make up the Smithsonian Institution are the National Museum of Natural History, National Museum of American Indians, but my personal favorite is the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. This is home to some fabulous modern art and sculpture in a beautifully designed building and its gardens. You start at the top of their form of work for this beautiful gallery to see a truly inspiring work of art. There is so much history and culture of Washington experience that is hard to write about all in one article. It is a great place to walk from the mall. You can only feel the story and the guarantor of the importance of the decisions made there.
