I was looking for something light and quick drying to use on my travels this summer. I chose this towel because I do not like the way the loop Aquis microfiber towels feel like my skin, and I thought Packtowl products are overpriced. Made from a suede-type material that is soft to the touch (and stays that way), the Rick Steves large towel as I went to camps and shelters to friends' houses to hotel rooms.
I found this towel big enough to comfortably dry me head to toe and still sufficiently absorbent towel after you dry my shoulder-length hair, before becoming too wet for use. Whether it would be more luxurious the fabric was about 1 / 3 more than it is absorbent, but the ends (a small towel and lightly) is very good. The towel dries very quickly in the sun and quickly enough indoors (no longer than it takes 2 hours).
This towel comes in a bag with mesh zippered pockets on the sides and a snap belt loop – I kept my travel size shampoo, soap, etc a tablet in hand, the towel in the other. This means that never in the shower to see that I was a necessity in my room / tent / car. And the snap circuit is very useful for the showers that had no shelves.
I have laundered this towel several times and have not seen any color bleeding problems with it. Now I'm off the road for a while, I will be using in the gym instead! Great value for a towel should not last long.
This was a big towel on our trip to Europe. It is much softer and more absorbent, swimming in some of our hotels and their small size makes it great to push us and in our days, without access to any room packages. We are caught in the rain storm a couple of times and is perfect for drying off and the weather is ideal for lying on the grass for lunch. It is fast drying time is a necessity if you need a towel to travel.
This worked great towel for two weeks of my trip through Europe. It dries quickly and is big enough for me (5'10 "in height). It is not as absorbent as a towel, but still works well.
The next case is very nice because it has a zippered pocket for whatever you want. It is really too small and packs easily into any luggage or backpack.
