I was soo surprised how accurate this book was really, it was almost like Brett had just left Rio the week before I arrived. Just back from Carnival 2008 and I had the time of my life! This city is a paradise man somethings twentieth degree. One of my friends who travels the world put me in this book while I was there, and officially became a checklist. Truly unbelieveable how accurate and precise in this book is, and is highly recommended for anyone who wants to be in this society "secret". Just follow the rules in this book, or add to your current program, and you may also have the time of his life in one of those many large cities, as I did in Rio de Janeiro. I'm buying the book for future destinations, and I also bought his other book "The Bachelor" Professional ", which are now known to me as the" Red Book ", and" Black "book. Both are rich and I hope Brett keeps all these gifts come in the future!
After being burned by the vagueness of a series of travel books, Lonely Planet, I was looking for something more specific to the male holiday. This guide has been a great find. It has proved very valuable, saving me a lot of headaches and money. In fact, the cuts to the chase to describe exactly how, what and where a man can discover adventure on their terms in each city. It is heavy staining on the details, and offers not only to dabble in hedonistic activities, but also the legality of going there, customs, foreign exchange gossip, and avoid scams and bad. The author is obviously a man traveled, some of these beach towns I've never heard of. Just reading about them more than curious. Beyond the excellent content, the best of this book is the writing style. Almost masquerading as a travel guide, is one of the funniest pieces collection macho vision and wisdom I've read. Worth buying just to learn and laugh.
Although the book is a little outdated, based on evaluation of the author of Rio de Janeiro, a place I frequent. I realize that the author knew what he was talking and not heard third would be willing to go to some places in his book that I never dared to before, only in the strength of this book to look a long time without one to show me around or keep my hand as opposed to when I when to Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, Brazil for the first time. Most important for a unique type of vacation is someone to show him that action. Knowledge is power and access especially in a foreign country mixed with not speaking the language.
