Moon Nicaragua (Moon Handbooks)

Review

In some destinations it’s a toss-up as to which travel guide is the best, but for Nicaragua this is definitely the one to have….You will find more than 450 pages of great info, including interesting sidebars on the culture and adventure activities other guidebook writers don’t even know about yet. It’s far more comprehensive than anything else available… –Tim Leffel’s Cheapest Destinations, December 5, 2008

This in depth guide book is an excellent resource for travelers to Nicaragua, central America’s largest and least populated country….This book provides several itineraries and covers in detail all regions. Volcano surfing, pristine crater lakes, freshwater sharks and much more; this book has it covered! –Dave’s Travel Corner, October, 2008

  1.   I just returned from my first trip to Nicaragua. It was an incredible experience and the Moon Handbook was essential for pre-trip planning and last minute changes in travel plans while on the road. The authors of Nicaragua know and love, and it shows in their advice on where to go, what to do and who to contact (eg Granada Maverick had some information really well). The authors also have great travel forum and answer your questions very quickly travel ([...]). The only thing I would have liked is a table of approximate travel time of destinations (for the next edition perhaps?).

  2.   This book was very helpful, and I used it a long time in Nicaragua. It's current (2008) and quite a day. If Nicaragua is going to want to invest in this book.
